My learning styles

List three of your strongest learning styles. Write down what each of them means.
My three strongest learning styles are Verbal-Linguistic meaning I think in words, Musical-Rhythmic meaning I think in rhythms and melodies, and inerpersonal meaning I bounce ideas off other people.

List three of your weakest learning stlyes. Write down what each of them means.
Three of my weakest styles are visual-spatial meaning I don't think in images, Body-Kinesthetic b/c I don't think through body sensations, and intrapersonal b/cI don't always think deeply inside myself.

Using your answers to questions 1 and 2, list three things that you can do to improve the way you learn. Also list three things that teachers can do to help you learn better in class.
1.) I can try to draw what I visualize and label every object on the picture.
2.) Express my feelings better when I don't understand something.
3.) Set more goals to understand something.
Teachers can:
1.) Explain things to me by writing them on the board.
2.) Ask me if I understand something even if I don't express myself.
3.) Expalin things more slowly so that I can have time to think deeply.

I read over Racial Realities in the Jim Crow website. The main point that the activity was trying to make is that today's society is much better than back then when slavery was going on b/c people would refere to black people as "Niggers," "Boy," or "Girl" whereas white people were treated with respect. In the activity, I learned that even though our society knows there's a lot of racial things going on, it is not the same as when Jim Crow laws excisted.

1.) What did you do well in first semester?
In first semester, I scored really high on all of my tests and earned more points than the actual possible points. One example is on my mid-terms. I scored very high for all of my classes. Most important, I was able to maintain a 4.0 all along and still am!!

2.) What did you poorly in first semester?
What I did poorly, was that when it came to finals I did not earn more points than the possible like on my mid-terms. I felt like I was not on "top" both academically and socially. I think I should of studied more for my finals.

3.) What do you need to do to get even better grades 2nd semester?
For second semester, I need to better prepare for tests and especially finals. I never knew all of the finals would come together at the same time. Maybe if I focus on each classes' final like a month before rather than two weeks before, I can ace them. I also need to challenge myself more in Tech. class.

Over the semester in technology class, the most difficult project for me was the website intro that we just finished completing. It was challenging because I had to create 200 frames and I didn't know a lot about flash. But now I know how to do tweens and use flash on my own. It was also hard because I needed to keep track of my time and I was moving very slowly. In addition, it was also more of an independent project because it counted for final and we're competing against other students to win this contest. I have faith though that I will be nominated.
