Website

My group and I did a website for my granpa, called Jesus' Gardening Service. It was okay working on this project. I did stress out over this project by sometimes staying for office hours and lunch, but I thought making this website would be even worse. So our websitedid turned out well and I learned how to do group work. I am grateful about having the opportuntiy to conctruct a website because not all high school students know know how. Our group did finish the website on time becuase we at times came for office hours and paced ourself's. Advice I give for next year students is to make sure you partner up with friends that do their work. If you do ont, there is no way you can finish this website on time becuase there is so much to it for you to do on your own. On average, I never went on myspace or other websites that distracted me! It was pretty cool working with my group members. Attimes, we had very few, little smll arguments. Our secret to working well was communication! So this ebsite turned out well! Bye!!! Who knows when I will publish another post.

School year

Finally 9th grade is over! I am proud of everything that I accomplished this year. This year I worked the hardest than I have ever done before. I'm really proud of all of my grades, and will continue to have good grades. Now I'm looking forward to 10th grade, even though I know even more work will be given. I was really challenged this year from all of my teachers. I had to stay up really late sometimes to write essays, study for tests/finals, and finish hw. I'm still going to probably stay up late today because tomorrow, the last day of school, I had two finals. I am so glad that I came to Animo because everyone at Animo is awesome and has something unique. Well this summer I'm going to SMC, so I can't wait! So I guess there still won't be a break for hw! Plus, I'm going to be a youth leader for NYA and LA Pico voice! By August, Im going on a camping trip called Future Leaders of America, which is in Big Bear for a full week! Oh yeah, and I'm going to big bear on Monday and coming back on Wednesday!

Gardening service website

1.) Do you believe you will finish the final project? Why or why not?
I feel 95% percent sure about our group finishing the project. I know my group members can be fast. For my other 5%, we may not finish since there is a lot of work to complete for this project and there's only three of us in the group. If it were four people, then I could be 100% sure we will finish the final project on time. But the two people in my group work hard.

2.) Is your group working as a team? Why or why not? I feel like my group is sometimes working as a team. There are times where we kind of work independantly and don't agree exactly. But other times we do agree and help each other. Overall, our group is working as a team.

3.) What can your group do to be more effective? What my group can do to be more effective is to work at a faster pase since it's only three of us, and help each other more than we do. There's times when one of us doesn't understand an assignment. What we can do is work less independantly and help each other more.

How's school and life?

Well school has been pretty good. I've been trying to maintain my 4.0. It's pretty hard though because there's always at least one challenging test or assignment. All I have to do is study a lot and sometimes not have so much free time. I really do feel like I can maintain my 4.0 for the end of second semester. It just scares me to know that we have two months left of school and so much work and tests like the CST and finals. My life is going okay right now. It's really hard being a teenager because I'm always trying to fit in. I try my best so that others will like me, and some people just tell me to be myself and people will like me. Well my mom's birthday is going to be this sunday and I still am not sure about what to get her or where to take her! I think she want's to go to a restaurant. Well I think this school year has been going pretty fast even though I know I've done a lot of work this year. Eighth grade went pretty slow for me, but ninth grade seemed pretty fast. Okay I will update again soon.

Team work

Team work is very hard to accomplish because everyone has different ideas and learning stlyes. Over the past three weeks, I have learned that it is very difficult when you depend on others. When someone doesn't do their part, you basically have to take over for them. Now I know my group didn't work for as a team. As much as I encouraged them to o their work and had to reming them several of times, only half of the time they would listen really well. They were open t ideas, but I had to come up with all of the ideas. My self-esteem has changed towards my group getting better b just doing the work on my own. I don't really know if there's any other solution b/c we all have different learning stlyes, and we struggled to combine them together. I think our team needs to cooperate more and not depend on only one person to come up with ideas. I'm hoping my project will be completed by today. All our powerpoint needs is a few visuals and we're done. Oh yeah we also need more "pizzas" like sound affects, different texts, backgrounds, etc.

Working in a team

I think my group is working as a team, even though we have different learning styles. I've tried to listen to what my team members have to say, to make sure we all agree on the same ideas. In order to have a better experience, we must all do our part and not slack off. We must also try to come up with brilliant unique ideas that will endure others. I think my group will finish the project by March 27 even though we're still planning what we will have for our presentation. If for some reason we fall behind, I will stay for office hours and set more strict deadlines for each member in my group. Or else there will be a big punishment!! This project is worth 250 points, so I'm serious!! I'm not kidding!!
